Message from the President
Assalamu Alaikum and Greetings to All,
It is with immense pride and a deep sense of responsibility that I welcome you to the official digital home of the Tangail Society, Dhaka (TSD).
Tangail is not just a district; it is a legacy of culture, craftsmanship, and a unique tradition of hospitality. For many of us, the journey from our ancestral homes to the bustling capital of Dhaka has been one of ambition and hard work. Yet, no matter how far we travel or how much we achieve, the pull of our roots—“শেকড়ের টান“—remains the strongest force in our lives.
Tangail Society, Dhaka was established with a singular vision: to create a unified platform where every person from Tangail living in this great city can find a sense of belonging, support, and brotherhood. Our motto, “শেকড়ের টানে, একতার সন্ধানে“ (Driven by roots, in search of unity), is the guiding light for everything we do.
Our mission is threefold:
- Unity: To bridge the gap between our members, from students to established professionals, ensuring no one feels alone in the capital.
- Heritage: To preserve and promote the rich cultural history of Tangail, ensuring our next generation carries our traditions forward with pride.
- Welfare: To stand by each other in times of need and contribute meaningfully to the development of our beloved home district.
As we move forward in this digital age, this website will serve as a bridge—a place for networking, sharing opportunities, and celebrating our collective successes. I invite all individuals from Tangail residing in Dhaka to join us in this journey. Together, we can build a community that is not only a source of pride for us but a model of unity for the entire country.
